In order to achieve excellent long term results in cataract surgery it is important to remove all of the residual cortex and cellular material from the capsule. This cannula is designed to polish all aspects of the capsule through a micro incision. It features a finely textured 1.25mm disc-shaped tip which allows the surgeon to gently scrub the anterior, posterior and capsular fornix surfaces. Its posterior facing 0.5mm port helps to keep the capsule well formed during polishing.
